Our Mission

Why “Democratic TEA Party”?

The original Tea Party movement identified a real problem: government isn’t working for the people it’s supposed to serve. But their solution was to tear it down, starve it of resources, and make it fail on purpose.

We believe the answer isn’t less government. It’s better government. Government that is transparent enough to earn trust, efficient enough to deliver results, and focused on making life affordable for everyone. That’s what this TEA stands for.

How It Started

I grew up in Parsippany, New Jersey, a community that contains multitudes. So many different people, from so many different places, that difference itself disappears. I watched my whole community work toward the same thing: a stable, comfortable, dignified life.

I spent my career chasing that same goal for other people. Law school, public interest work, a year at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission protecting consumers. I planned to make civil service my future. Then the Trump administration froze federal hiring, and that door closed.

I am fine with not running for office. I cannot be fine with not fighting. Most of this country is still stuck choosing the lesser of two evils. We need a politics of hope, one that brings communities together around what we can achieve.

That is why I launched the Democratic TEA Party. Not to tear government down, but to build something better.

Where We’re Going

We are just getting started. TEA Grades will score every elected official on Transparency, Efficiency, and Affordability so voters can see exactly who is delivering and who is coasting. The Bill Tracker will follow legislation from introduction to vote, showing you what your representatives actually support when the cameras are off.

From there, we build political infrastructure. We will recruit, evaluate, and back candidates who meet the TEA standard. Not based on connections or party loyalty, but on a public, data-driven record of what they have done and what they have committed to do.

But tools alone do not change anything. People do. That is why we organize in communities, not from a headquarters. If you believe government can work better, there is a place for you here.

The long-term vision is a movement that makes “lesser of two evils” politics obsolete. We want every district in the country to have at least one candidate who meets the TEA standard. We are building this in the open. No backroom deals. No machine politics.
